Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

My girlfriend recently moved to the area and I was on my own for dinner as she was out with a friend. I remembered a Tommy's Pizza from back in the days I lived in Ohio and thought I'd give it a try. The place was jamming - not a seat open anywhere. A youth lacrosse team from Delaware had taken the restaurant over. Good thing I was doing takeout. I got the medium pizza/6 wing special deal as well as a small Caesar salad. The pizza was fair. Typical of many pizzas in the area. Part of the problem is it was not pipping hot since I had to wait for the rest of the order. Nothing is worse than getting home and your pizza is at best warm. As a pizza junky I usually insist on eating it in the parlor when it comes out of the oven for maximum taste but that wasn't a possibility. The wings were ok. Not great. Not terrible. Nice size with a decent hot buffalo sauce. The Caesar salad was fair. Lettuce tasted like it was out of the bag. The home made dressing was unimpressive. I appreciated the young man with the backwards baseball hat that bird dogged my order. Usually I don't tip on takeout but I did this time to thank him. Shame the food wasn't as good.

Really uninspired. It's owned by a local car dealer and I swear he only got it to have someplace to eat. I've tried it three times. Nothing special at all and the pizza is really not good. I always hope to find good fresh quality food in West Chester and I'm mostly disappointed.

My wife has always enjoyed the pizza here and I just started agreeing. Not a huge fan of the cheesesteaks because of the roll. The pizza is really good and consistent. Have gotten pepperoni and bacon pizzas and they don't skimp on toppings. Delivery has been inconsistent. One day 2 sandwiches are here in 20 mins- which is almost awkwardly quick. The other day a pizza and onion rings took over an hour (when given 35-45min estimate) and it's 1 mi away. We'll keep going back for pizza but if delivery is poor, will reconsider.

Our first time trying this place. Ordered the thin crust pizza with pepperoni, sausage, onions, olives and mushrooms. Crust edge was cooked great but the pizza itself was soft and somewhat soggy. We tagged more cheese, onions and mushrooms than pepperoni, and the sausage was so thinly sliced we could hardly taste it. Don't know of this was because we came in at 830pm since they close at 9 but we were just not thrilled. Ordered a garden salad consisting of only iceberg lettuce chunks hit it had plenty of veggies on top. Not worth 5 bucks though. We will not be coming back.

Squishy pizza. Can't stand squishy pizza. Fresh vegetables, but mediocre meat flavor. Sauce in nondescript. "Cheap" pizza, though not inexpensive. It just tastes like cheap pizza. You can pay the same, though, and go to a coal-fired pizza place with so much more flavor, better ingredients, and crisper crusts.

This place used to be awesome. I'm not sure what happened, but the service is sow, everyone seems confused and the beer selection is slim.

My son and I picked up two pizzas on 10/3/14. A Neapolitan and a Bianco with meatball which were absolutely amazing. The service was superior as always, the two gals were very nice and professional. The owner is a very nice lady and always goes above and beyond to make your experience a great one. Tommy's is the place to go for great pizza and outstanding service. Everyone is pleasant and always helpful at this establishment. Great menu as well. Try Tommy's you won't be disappointed! Highly recommended!

My girlfriend and I order takeout at least 2 times a month. I have never been disappointed. They always meet or exceed expectations with delivery time. Great menu, our go to's are ziti, lasagna, Stromboli, and of course the pizza. Will continue to order frequently.

Tommy's not only has great food but they carry the best hand picked craft beers in town. They rotate their selection frequently so don't miss a beat if you're a fan of variety.

I ordered the tuna salad on a salad and a veggie wrap on separate occasions, and both were fresh and tasty. I've been to many Italian restaurants and have been disappointed by the lack of quality ingredients. Not only was the food delicious but the delivery man was very kind! I will definitely be ordering here more often.

Tommy's is much more than pizza. Their dinners are as good as any Italian restaurant in the area. The wait staff is courteous and friendly. They run a fantastic operation, and deserve to be on anyone's list of favorites who enjoys good food prepared very very well.

Fantastic pizza!!! Really fresh...great flavor in the sauce, beautiful crust and fresh toppings. Very friendly staff. Every time I've called in for takeout or delivery I am treated like a friend. Highly recommend!

For take out pizza, wings and salads, Tommy's has never steered us wrong. If you're looking for something different and delicious, try their bacon cheddar cheeseburger pizza! Mozz sticks are a solid bet, as is the Greek salad. And the wings are cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of spice on the medium level sauce. They're not the fastest, but their time estimations for pick up and delivery are always accurate. And the gentlemen that have served us have always been pleasant to talk to! All in all, a solid bet for pizza in the outer edges of West Chester.

Good pizza. Decent entrees. Cold soup. Good craft beer mix. It is a nice looking place, but felt dirty. Glassware was not clean (or maybe it was clean and very spotty?). From the menu and the interior I expected too much. It is just a slice above the average pizza place.

Good neighborhood place to grab a quick pizza or a sandwich. The staff was very helpful and the food was great too. We tried a cheese pizza, a gluten free pizza with onions, mushrooms and broccoli and a gyro. Everything came out quickly and was quite tasty!

A very good pizza place in WC-- I order from here about once a month, and they've never gotten my order wrong. I work nearby and have an 11am lunchtime, and while they don't open until 11, they deliver by 11:15am at the latest, which is great! My personal favorite order: small Tommy cheesesteak (not on the menu anymore, but it's beef steak with blue cheese and mushrooms... so gooey, go amazingly delicious), a side salad with their parmesan peppercorn dressing. Awesome stuff. Not too pricey-- $12 with a soda. Check them out- you won't be disappointed!

Every time I'm in West Chester I make sure to stop at Tommy's at least once. Their pizza is delicious but their buffalo chicken cheese steak is probably the best things I've ever tasted! It has just the right amount of cheese and spice. I've never had anything else from there (because I just can never resist their buffalo chicken cheese steak) but I can't imagine that anything on the menu would be bad. The place is never too packed and the service is always great. Definitely a West Chester favorite of mine.

Just ordered take out from Tommy's. as usual they forgot something. I wish they would get my order right. Returned several times and things have gotten better. Enjoy the food and have been meaning to update my review.

Ever since moving into this area in June we have been coming to tommys quite often since the food is consistent and the prices are fair. I will admit this place seems to be going downhill. Dont get me wrong. Their pizza is very good and I really have no complaints with the other things I have tried from there but the staff needs a major overhaul or some sort of leadership change. This place seems to fall on its face service wise once customers start coming in. The staff seems to take forever to get orders or just plain forget about you when you need something. Nobody seems to know where they are supposed to be or what they should be doing. Tonight we went in and got seated promptly but took 15 minutes before an a server showed up.And there were maybe a handful of other tables there. I ordered a beer and had to send it back since after I took a sip i noticed something black sitting on the bottom of the glass. The waitress replaced that and all was well but then on my new beer I noticed some more stuff sitting on the bottom of the glass. This makes me question how clean the rest of the place is. My girlfriend even found food stuck on her plate. While waiting for our food we noticed the takeout line was starting to get backed up to the door. The staff doesnt seem to know what to do in those situations. I noticed one guy just standing there and not assisting any customers while the one guy was there on the phone. That same guy was even running food to tables. Isnt that why they hired waitresses? The hostess was just standing there while this was happening and not assisting anyone. I think she was texting on her phone or just talking to one of her friends. I think they need a real manager on duty to run this place because everyone on their staff looks to be in high school or old enough to work full time and just not give a shit since its a part time gig. who knows. but I know i wouldnt want these people working at my company and representing my business. thats what I really dislike about this place, the careless attitude the employees seem to possess. I hope one of the owners sees this review because your business will suffer. Im starting to not want to come to this place because of what I have seen and experienced during my past few visits.

Pizza and cheese steaks are mediocre. Stromboli's are decent but everything is overpriced. They do have six packs in the case though.

Great pizza in West Chester if you need a slice to hold you over or fill you up. Nice staff and quick as well.

Sometimes an experience is so bad that simply contacting the owner is not enough. Tommy's original Pizza's staff is so incompetent and unprofessional that something on a larger scale must be done. The owner needs to re-evaluate how this restaurant is operated and investigate how their restaurant is run when they are not there. Chester County needs to do something to bring this establishment up to an acceptable level. The worst of their motley crew is an angry, rude and completely miserable waitress named Emily H. who has the attitude of a thug and has no business dealing with people, especially in a restaurant. After being seated by a zombie-like hostess we were greeted by a an angry, rude and completely miserable waitress named Emily H. who did not hide the fact that she was very unhappy about something and obviously did not want to be there. After receiving our drinks, Emily avoided our table like it was on fire. After waiting over 40 minutes for our food to arrive I finally walked across the restaurant to Emily since she would not come near our table, and told her I wanted a check for the iced tea's and the fries because we were tired of waiting and were leaving. Rudely and loudly in front of the other customers she said, "No, if you're leaving then tell them at the counter what you had." We received no explanation as to why there was a delay with our food, no apology for having to wait so long, no effort to resolve the situation, Emily just became ruder and more miserable than when she "greeted us" at our table forty minutes earlier. The people behind the counter found everything very amusing while Emily's anger became more vocal when she heard me explaining the situation to the man at the register. I said all I would have needed was an explanation why our dinner was taking so long. A few simple words would have smoothed the situation. Instead, Emily came charging into the kitchen and starts yelling at me that she didn't need to explain what was going on because I could see her standing in the kitchen earlier. Being a waitress, or at least hired to be one, she spends her time alternating between the tables and the kitchen and seeing her in either place told me nothing, I just knew that we were waiting an excessive amount of time for our food and that she was avoiding us. The crew behind the counter continued laughing and making comments under their breath, Emily continued her angry rant about how I was wrong to not accept the unexplained long wait. My wife and I should have just gotten up and left but I chose to do the honorable thing and pay for the drinks and fries. A good restaurant would have apologize for the bad experience and not let me pay for such a long wait but I had to stand there and be ridiculed by Emily and the staff while Zack took his time at the register. The final humiliation came while we were walking out through the restaurant towards the door when they started laughing and shouting across the restaurant in front of the other customers sarcastically, "Thank you, hope you enjoyed your dinner, and come again soon!" Under the previous owner Tommy's Original Pizza was a friendly, quality restaurant that my wife and I have been going to for years. Now it is a classless pizza shop that is run like a street corner. A copy of this complaint is going to the Chester County Chamber Of Commerce along with The National Restaurants Association. Businesses that operate so poorly cannot be allowed to continue operating this way and must be brought to a higher standard or forced to close.
